Here are some of the things you can do to increase your fertility and your overall chance of getting pregnant.
The first point is important. This is a thing that many people do, without thinking of the consequences. Don’t use contraceptives! When you use a contraceptive pill, you are making you are making your body temporarily unable to conceive. This time period changes from one type to another. It will take some time for your body to be able to be pregnant again. Taking too much of these pills will certainly make you infertile and damage your hormonal releases and many other things that effect your body’s ability to reproduce. If you had implanted your contraceptive, then you will have to see a doctor to get it removed. If you were relying on other type of methods like diaphragms or condoms then it won’t take much time for your body to be ready to be pregnant again. But take special precaution that you won’t catch any STDs. Once these methods are removed, then your body will be prone to all the sexually transmitted diseases. I want to be pregnant, keep thinking like this.
Know When You Ovulate
This is point actually goes without saying. This is actually a process that will take months. Firstly, you have to get a fertility calendar. Or you can just use an app on your phone. Whatever you use, you have to keep track on how long each menstrual cycle lasts for you. The average time period for a woman’s menstrual cycle is 28 days. Don’t worry you can have a different length. Every women can have different menstrual cycle length. Note the time periods for 5-6 consecutive months and take an average. Women menstruate for roughly the second part of a menstrual cycle. For example, if your menstrual cycle last for 30days, then you will ovulate for the last 15 days of the cycle. Or in other words, you will ovulate for two weeks before the start of another menstrual cycle. Keep in mind that external factors like, sickness or stress will affect the time length of you menstrual cycle. Be determined and I want to be pregnant.
Now, you have to actually take note of when you ovulate. This is the tough part. There are a few ways in which you can track when you ovulate. The time that you ovulate, is the time you are most fertile. Having sex at that time will mean that you will have more chances of conceiving. Take you basal body temperature first thing in the morning every day. On the day you start ovulating, your basal body temperature will rise a bit. You will be most fertile, two or three days before this temperature rise. Another method is to check your cervical mucus. Yeah I know, it’s disgusting. But when the liquid getting out from you vagina is sticky and clear then that means that you are ovulating. You should plan to have sex for the next couple of days. If you are not ovulating then you will see that the liquid will be a lot dries and less stretchy. The last method is to use those ovulation sticks. Ovulation sticks use the release of your hormones to let you know when you ovulate. It’s the same as the pregnancy stick. You have to pee on it. Ovulation releases a lot of hormones.
Now that you know when you ovulate, it’s time to do the main part, actually having sex. The more often you have sex, the more chance there is for you to conceive. Have sex regularly when you ovulate. Actually, it better to start having sex two or three days before you start to ovulate. A man’s sperm can last up to two days in a woman’s body, depending on the environment and the quality of the sperm cell. So, start having sex two or three days before you start to ovulate. As I said, sperm cells can last up to a week in a woman’s body. SO have sex regularly and enjoy it. And after having sex, lay flat, as this increases your chance of conceiving. Now, after you have passed the ovulation stage, and your cervical mucus becomes dry and less sticky it time to wait. There are a few ways in which you can understand if you are starting to conceive. Of course, there is the pregnancy stick. But there are some natural ways in which you can see if you are getting pregnant. As I told you before, keep taking your basal body temperature first thing in the morning. IF your basal body temperature stays high for many days in a row, then it means you are probably conceiving.
If things go wrong, don’t give up. Most people don’t conceive in the first try. You have to extremely lucky to get pregnant in the first try.
